Terms of Service

By accessing or using LeaseGuard AI (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. LeaseGuard AI is operated by LeaseGuard AI ("we," "us," or "our").

LeaseGuard AI is an educational technology service, not a law firm.

The analysis, flags, health scores, legal summaries, and negotiation scripts generated by LeaseGuard AI are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice, do not create an attorney-client relationship, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified, licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

Laws differ by state, municipality, and individual circumstance. Our AI is trained on publicly available legal information and is updated regularly, but it may not reflect the most recent statutory changes, local ordinances, or case law in your jurisdiction.

**For any serious legal matter — including active disputes, eviction proceedings, or potential litigation — please consult a licensed attorney in your state.** Many states offer free or low-cost legal aid services for renters.

Permitted use: You may use LeaseGuard AI to analyze lease agreements to which you are or may become a party, for your own personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

Prohibited uses: You may not use the Service to: (a) analyze documents on behalf of others for commercial gain without a written agreement with us; (b) attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or reproduce our AI models or legal database; (c) upload content that is fraudulent, illegal, or that you do not have the right to submit; (d) use automated means to access the Service at scale; or (e) circumvent any security or usage controls.

Account: Some features (including Pro report delivery) may require providing an email address. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it updated.

Our property: The LeaseGuard AI platform, including its interface, code, AI models, legal database, brand, and generated output formats, are owned by or licensed to LeaseGuard AI and protected by intellectual property law.

Your content: You retain full ownership of any lease documents you submit for analysis. By submitting a document, you grant us a transient, limited license to process it solely for the purpose of generating your analysis. This license terminates at the end of your session, consistent with our zero-storage policy.

Analysis outputs: The analysis reports, health scores, and negotiation scripts generated for your specific lease are provided to you for your personal use.

Free tier: Core lease analysis features are available at no charge.

Pro plan: Pro features are available for a one-time payment of $19.99 per analysis. There is no subscription or recurring charge. All payments are processed securely via Stripe.

Refund policy: If you are unsatisfied with your Pro analysis, contact us at support@leaseguardai.com within 48 hours of your purchase for a full, no-questions-asked refund.

"As is" service: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Accuracy: While we work hard to keep our legal database current and accurate, we make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the legal information provided. Laws change; our database is updated quarterly but may not reflect very recent amendments.

Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LeaseGuard AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, business, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

**Our total aggregate liability** for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to LeaseGuard AI in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LeaseGuard AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including the disclaimer, limitation of liability, and governing law sections) will survive.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Commercial Arbitration Rules, with proceedings conducted in Delaware.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
